Open new tab

I cannot set "open new tab" feature according to my desire. If I double click on empty space after tabs (or click right button and select open new tab), I would like to open new tab at the end of tab list. (That's why I click there and not on the tab itself) In every other case, opening next to current is ok. Is it possible to set this?
