Hi,
Windows explorer in Windows 7 has a search bar on the right of address bar. This allow you to search very quickly. Can XYplorer has the same search bar?

Ah, I see now,.. it works great but
1> It seems not as fast as Windows Explorer's instant search? Maybe Windows has index/cache or somehow making the searching nearly realtime (the result display while you are still typing)
2> Is there any keyboard shortcut to focus on address bar such as Alt+D ?
3> Really need typing the "?" ?

Not 100% sure given I don't use W7 but I do believe it does have some sort of a cache/indexbinocular222 wrote:Ah, I see now,.. it works great but

Yes, because XY AB can do various things so XY needs to know which function you want.3> Really need typing the "?" ?
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Re: Instant search (similar to windows explorer)
XY does not have instant search like windows 7 where results appear as you type. But you can quickly jump to a filename by typing its first few letters (click on the list first before you start typing). You wont see what you are typing, but it works.binocular222 wrote:Ah, I see now,.. it works great but

Yes, Ctrl+Alt+A (you can set it to Alt+D if you want)

Yes, because there are other prefixes for other cool things such as | for visual filter, > jump, >> spot, :: scripting etc.

I found that Shift+TAB worked out of the box for me too and it was somewhat more intuitive.serendipity wrote:Yes, Ctrl+Alt+A (you can set it to Alt+D if you want)binocular222 wrote: 2> Is there any keyboard shortcut to focus on address bar such as Alt+D ?

Re: Instant search (similar to windows explorer)
Thank you.
Yeah, I found Tab and Shift+Tab is really handy to focus on address bar
