When I search for something and when I open something from the search result in new tab,and then return to the search result, the whole page with the result is reloaded and I have to wait to finish before I can open something else.
When I'm searching for images this is quite a problem because every time I have to wait to see the thumbnails again.
I'm using 9.90.0300,the auto-refresh is disabled(i thought it was because of this)and thumbnails are not saved from search results and not to the hdd(the search result list is opened in new locked tab)
The bugger the result is,the problem is more visible(on a result with 1500 items, when I switch back to the result, xyp goes to the top of the list and when it finish loading it goes to the last selected item)
Does anyone else have this problem(reloading the search...)

You should enable Caching for Search Results and for thumbnails in Search Results:
Configuration | Find Files | Cache search results
Configuration | Thumbnails | Cache thumbnails of search results, too

Even with this and the option from nas8e9,it's the same(in the status bar below it's saying "reading cache" every time I switch to the result tab).admin wrote:You should enable Caching for Search Results and for thumbnails in Search Results:

I also forgot to mention than if I stop the search then switch to some other tab and then return, the searching process is started again...it doesn't stop searching until it finish searching

Re: Does anyone else have this problem(reloading the search...)
The problem is more visible when the list contains a lot of items.
Try those:
1.Search your C:\ drive and when you reach more that 1500 items(the view mode to be on details)hit Esc.Then open the containing folder of some item near the end of the list(with more than 1500 items)go to some other tab and then return to the search result...in my case the search is started again
2.Try searching somewhere you have a lot of items, when the search finish,go to the last item of the list, open it in new tab and then return to the result tab...in my case in the status bar I see "reading cache",the list is refreshed, xyp is showing the top item and when it finish reading the cache,it switch to the last selected item

1. When you ESC a search, the next time you open that search tab, the search will attempt to finish. ESC is not remembered.vsub wrote:The problem is more visible when the list contains a lot of items.

2. This is expected behavior. Where is the problem?

2.I thought it's not...guess I was using windows explorer too much(since he is only windows and the result is not refreshed because I'm opening new window...guess it's different for tabs.
