can not see particular folder or files

Post by no9 »

I enabled the XYplorer menu settings under View > Show Items > [all items selected]

I also enabled XYplorer to "run as administrator" under Win 7.

I am testing XYplorer under Win 7 Pro. The directory I am unable to see is C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Most, but not all, of the folders and files under \drivers are also invisible. Using a command window or Windows Explorer, I can see all of the directories and files. However, if I use a command window launched by XYplorer, I do not see the missing folders or files. The files have normal attributes and are not marked as either hidden or system files. There may be other directories that XYplorer can not see, but this is one in particular that I've found.

Any clues as to what I may need to enable or change in the settings? Thank you...

I ran into this same issue this morning and found this thread. Problem is I can't access %windir%\Sysnative either, even after running today's beta XYPlorer as Administrator and manually creating the folder (it asked me if I wanted to merge the contents).

Typing in the address bar allows me to autocomplete into Sysnative, but I can't get anything to appear in the tree or list views...

XYPlorer is awesome - looking forward to 64-bit version!

Can't confirm with 9.90.0100. You could try to use an elevated command prompt to first remove and then recreate Sysnative; I used that route myself.
