Address right click breadcrumb menu as a toolbar button?
How about make the address right click breadcrumb menu as a toolbar button? Similar to the dropdown button for hotlist, etc. That way, we can place it anywhere on the toolbar button for more convenient access.

It is already: right-click the Up button.

Re: Address right click breadcrumb menu as a toolbar button?
In my opinion the best implementation of the breadcrumb is the one i saw in Cubic Explorer where clicking the button on the address bar changes the address bar itself into a clickable breadcrumb. This coupled with two separate address bars for the two panes would make the breadcrumbs more accessible and the two paths can be displayed simultaneously.
Two separate address bars for the two panes makes more sense in widescreen FullHD monitors as i have no use for a full length address bar with the address at one end and the breadcrumb at the other which considerably decreases its accessibility.
Cubic Explorer is not as flexible as XYplorer in other aspects and i would love to see this feature implemented in XYplorer.

there is also xplorer2 which features clickable breadcrumbs from the title of the tabs--just another idea.
btw: hiding breadcrumbs in a right click menu kind of defeats the convenience of having breadcrumbs--because we can use the double clicking blank space to go up level as an alternative. the proper implementation of breadcrumbs is to make it immediately clickable without having to access a menu for it.

maybe we can have a breadcrumbs status bar, one on each pane?
i would at least prefer a regular status bar for each pane, which is useful for comparing properties of selected files in list view.

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!dileepd11 wrote:In my opinion the best implementation of the breadcrumb is the one i saw in Cubic Explorer where clicking the button on the address bar changes the address bar itself into a clickable breadcrumb. And since you're new here, I'd highly suggest before requesting things like this that you do some seaching of prior threads on forum here...because had you done so, you would have found numerous threads where this has already been discussed...l'm not sure of the current status of this but I know both clickable breadcrumbs and dual AB's have been subject of more than one thread...And I don't want to be unfriendly to new forum members but it helps us all when threads don't get diverted to other topics that are better served by posting to a older thread dedicated to that topic, ok? Thanks for understanding!
Here's a couple of prior threads for example:

I realize that you didn't start this thread but you did hijack it by diverting it to a separate issue...that was my reason for commenting.dileepd11 wrote:I am sorry, but i dint start this thread. I posted in an existing thread.
Unfortunately, while it was discussing 'breadcrumbs', it was not discussing the two issues you posted about so thus a search for the appropriate thread(s) would be needed as they may not appear on first page(s)...sometimes the relevant thread may be some months ago and reopening one isn't a problem here.i dint search for other threads as i found one discussing breadcrumbs on the first page of the forum.
I certianly don't want to discourage a new forum user but in the interest of keeping the forum organized, I felt it was necessary to give you a couple of pointers on forum procedures...hope you understand, ok?
