What do you think?

I'd love auto-resizing of date columns

Auto-resizing would annoy me, it would have to be optional

Date column auto-sizing

Post by Chris Wood »

Just noticed that the date column headers are right-aligned when using Age view. Why? Seems to me left-aligned is always preferable...

It would be really cool if the date column-widths were set automatically. I can't think of why anyone would want to see only part of a date column - if they wanted something narrower, they'd use a different format. Auto-sizing would be especially useful when toggling Age, as usually Age takes a lot less room than whatever the other format is you use. Eg. Usually I use Age, and all my columns fit on one screen, but sometimes I want full-view dates, so I toggle Age but then have to change all the column widths...
test everything. hold on to the good.

No. The numbers compare better when right-aligned.
