Turn off custom context menu

Post by Chris Wood »

Is there any way to turn off XYplorer's custom context menu and just use the normal shell? I really hate all those extra items added, which are redundant and double the size of the context menu... those extra items probably make for a context menu higher than a 640x480 screen!
test everything. hold on to the good.

I don't mind having XY's custom context menu so I cast a "Don't care" vote, but I can definitely see why one wouldn't want them.

It's currently 2:1 against the suggestion, but I have implemented it anyway. I have seen some user screenshots where those menus get really high and the screens are small, so it's nice to have the option.

ATTENTION: if an INI file is existing the new checkbox is
initialized to 'unchecked', so upgrading users have to check the
box
to see the custom items as they are used to!

It's here: Configuration/Advanced/"Custom items in shell context menu".

Yay, thanks a lot. This is much less intimidating.
