View Menu + Large Icon Option + Missing

Post by Ctrl/Alt/Del »

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with not being able to utilize large icons when using XYplorer v.9.70.

The operating system is Windows 7 x64.

On the View Menu on the toolbar, I have an option for small icons but, no option for large icons.

Currently, I am using a monitor set to a resolution of 1920x1080 so, the small icons have me straining my eyesight and I have great eyesight.

I used the search function and found a lot of material on the issue from the first part of the year but, I could not make out if a solution was ever found to be able to use large icons. Everyone seemed to be kind of confused about icons and thumbnails but, I am definitely talking about icons only.

Could someone tell me if there is a way to use large icons.

Below is a .jpg with XYplorer, on the left, using small icons. On the right hand side of the photo is Windows Explorer using large icons.

The large icons are what I want to use in XYplorer. Is there a way to achieve this that I am missing?

Thanks.

In your search (I used "large icons"), did you find this quite similar thread from about 2 mths ago where Don says it's on his list?

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Perhaps I saw it; perhaps I did not see it.

Maybe I searched for the answer for right at an hour using another search term other than large icon and could not find a solution or an answer.

Then, right at the end of the searching when I was almost ready to give up, I ran across the post that you linked to where Don says it's on his list. After that, maybe I made the post I made anyway just to assuage my nerves over the fruitless search.

I could have ended up here:

http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... arge+icons

and here:

and on a couple of other pages.

Check my browsing history on this site to find out for certain.

Thanks.

Please don't be offended as I wasn't saying you'd not done a proper search or complaining about duplicate thread, but just showing how I did mine and what I found...and on this type of search, I tend to use the "look in first post of thread" option to reduce false hits...and my browser saves old search strings so I get some aid that way plus reading almost all posts here helps a bit to know if it may have been covered before...anyway, even though it's not maybe the answer you wanted in that it can't be done now, at least you have answer.

Oh, and I have NO way to see your history here other than prior posts you've made.
