Tree not expanded the same as it was when XY was closed

I have a sub-directory in the tree focused and expanded so that all it's sub-directories are visible in the tree (and, obviously, in the list). I close XY and reopen it. The sub-directory is still focused in the tree but not expanded in the tree.
If I check "Expand destination node in tree" then it is expanded even if it was not expanded before I closed XY, so that is not exactly what I want.

It has always been like this. Whether it is good is another question.

I would prefer XY to reopen with the tree in the same state as I left it in. Particularly if I have a branch highlighted and several sub-directories opened, then to loose the whole tree structure because I've turned the computer off and on again can be annoying.

Ok. I changed it: now the selection state of the current node is remembered between sessions. Good idea indeed!

However, restoring the complete expansion state of all tree nodes (which is also a good idea!) is another thing, which I'll come back to after the catalog is done...

Preferably with tab-specific restorations - otherwise only the last tab selected when you closed would have a memory...
