The order doesn't appear to be global judging from the search results vs. normal panes, but then why is the Path field on the left (it's the last in the View > Columns list). Perhaps that's the developer's choice. Admin?
View>Cols controls the 'what' and drag/drop controls the 'where'...

Why have path on left on Search Results? Given that results are typically from various places, knowing where they are is more important and thus showing it as hierarchy in a way makes more sense...that's my understanding.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

To avoid all day conversations with dummies like me, there's something to be said for consistency. Having Path one column over seems manageable. Many thanks,

You don't need to call yourself that! XY is a complex tool and even after 4+ yrs, I still don't know it all (well, partially because it keeps changing almost daily... )

Since it's very easy to change the layout, and that search result tabs are different from other tabs in usage, having a unique initial layout doesn't seem to be that big an issue...but that's just my view.

I'm just happy that I was able to help you get it resolved!
