"Open in other pane" from tree

Post by Zigo »

I've never really used dual panes in XYplorer before, but with the addition of the new "Select Special" options in v9.60 I've found it to be very useful in some situations.

By default I browse with a single pane, so what would be nice is to right-click on a location in the tree and choose "Open in other pane", which automatically enables dual pane mode and opens the location selected. Unless I'm missing a shortcut feature somewhere, the current way to get the same result involves a number of operations including right-clicks, drag-and-drop and/or copy/paste.

Nice work on the "Select Special" options though, that feature alone could save me a lot of time :)

Let me make your day: Hold ALT and click a tree folder. :)

(Ok, you have to enable Dual Pane mode yourself.)

But will add "Open in other pane" to the Tree items' context menu -- thanks for a good idea!

Oh, sorry i should have checked first. Also would be useful to have tab opened in background of inactive pane. Maybe alt+middle-click?
