Browse button for location and excluded folders

Post by surrender »

I realised that it is important and intuitive to have a browse button under the Location field in the Find files>Name & Location tab. Especially the newbees will wonder how to set the location in the first place leave alone finding files in them.

Ditto for Excluded folders.

How did you realize this? It's never been there since 1998 and nobody ever asked for it.

Just to remind you that sometimes I find it annoying to open a particular folder in order to find files in that folder. The other option being typing the path manually in location bar. You can provide basic paths to search like desktop, my docs, all drives etc. or simply include a browse button from which a user can choose where to search.

Ok, is that good english for the button's tooltip: "Browse for location to search" ?
PS: or "Select Location to Search"?

Yeah, the newbee-trick works well. Whenever you say "newbees will like it", I immediately add the feature.
