Currently, when adding jobs to the queue, the Status Bar shows a message such as "copy of 1 item added as job #3".
I think it would be beneficial to change this, both for the sake of clarity, as well as to give more details.
Here is what I suggest, given through examples of various scenarios:
----------------------------------
Scenario - Copy 1 file:
Job #3 added - Copy 1 file - D:\Music\Don's Greatest Hits.mp3 => C:\Misc
Scenario - Copy 3 files:
Job #4 added - Copy 3 files - D:\Music\<assorted> => C:\Misc
Scenario - Copy 1 directory:
Job #5 added - Copy 1 folder - C:\Misc => D:\Data
Scenario - Copy 3 directories:
Job #6 added - Copy 3 folders - D:\Pics\<assorted> => C:\Data
Scenario - Copy 6 directories and 17 files (seperate from the directories):
Job #7 added - Copy 6 folders and 17 files - D:\Games\<assorted> => C:\Misc
----------------------------------
To be clear, the terms "folders" and "files" apply only to what was selected in the root folder.
Also, the forum won't let me show it, but the "=>" should have TWO spaces on either side of it.
What do you think?

Re: Change to Status Bar text when adding jobs
I love it!
I've found myself adding jobs and then wondering if XY added it successfully or not. I don't exactly keep count of which job # was last used.
This would make things a lot easier to read, and give appropriate information so that the message is actually useful.
Count me in.

I like the suggestions, too. My only complaint is the inability to read full statuses displayed (my main machine must be restricted at 1024x768, and XY cannot run maximized all of the time)... Occurred to me that a pop-up could be shown having a user-definable timing (ms) to endure, even better if I could fine-tune which operations could pop and which should not. Also, full support to Backup as a background file operation. That way I could make full usage of such great features.

I can't say I like the idea of a pop-up, personally. But as long as the behavior is configurable, I'm fine.
Otherwise, it's always going to be an issue that with a low enough resolution, long status bar messages will get truncated. But even then, you'll still get more info than comes up now.

...not to mention that since 9.20.0002 we can toggle the whole statusbar... So the pop-up could be an ideal way to preserve notifications while having it hidden.I can't say I like the idea of a pop-up, personally. But as long as the behavior is configurable, I'm fine.
