1. The two address bar commands ">>*.cr2" and ">*.cr2" seem to be doing exactly the same thing, except that the icon is different. Can anyone explain the difference to me?
2. Is there an address bar command that will SELECT in the file list all *.cr2 files?
3. When you use the "?" operator, thumbnails will not be taken out of the thumbnail cache, but will be recreated by XY. Now that Donald has introduced the thumbnail index file, I guess the search thumbnails could be taken from the cache, too?
(I know that you can enable caching search thumbs, but I rarely do the same search twice)
4. A tiny feature suggestion: Would it be possible to let the user define somewhere (possibly as an INI tweak) a default operation among ">", ">>", "?", "|" and "!"? I personally would like to define "|" as the default, so that when I just enter "*.cr2" it would be interpreted as "|*.cr2".
Thanks a lot!
">>*.cr2" vs. ">*.cr2" - what's the difference?

Addition concerning 3: there seems to be a real bug here:
a. Situation: I have a folder open with images, all thumbs are cached.
b. I do a search on image files in this folder, say "?*.cr2"
c. The search opens, all thumbs have to be recreated for the search
d. Now when I go back to the folder IN THE REGULAR FOLDER VIEW, all thumbs seem to have disappeared from the cache, and have to recreated, EVEN FOR THE REGULAR FOLDER VIEW.

--> press ENTER again and again and you quickly see the difference
2. Is there an address bar command that will SELECT in the file list all *.cr2 files?
--> no, but good idea (although Ctrl+M is not that far away either, or?). I'm just running short if escape characters...
3. When you use the "?" operator, thumbnails will not be taken out of the thumbnail cache, but will be recreated by XY. Now that Donald has introduced the thumbnail index file, I guess the search thumbnails could be taken from the cache, too?

--> yes. Thumbs 2.0 will happen at some point and handle this as well.
--> conc. the bug: will check later...

--> that would make parsing very difficult if not impossible in some cases. Rather not.

Well, this is just my perspective: I am not sure how many people really use the power of ">". So maybe keep ">>" the way it is, and use ">" for selecting?
Thanks for telling me about CTRL-M, will be helpful (did not know that yet, I learn about new XY features all the time). Address bar would still be cool though.

For the time being CTRL-M should be enough. But I keep it in the back of my mind.
