netdrive

Post by admin »

Just curious: Has anybody here experience with netdrive?
http://www.netdrive.net/

Looks like one could have easy FTP support for XY using this...

They say:
Operating System : Windows 2000,XP,VISTA/7 (32/64bit)
Processor: Pentium III/Athlon at 500 MHz or better
Memory : Minimum 256 MB for Windows XP/2000/Vista/7
HDD Space: 1-2 GB of free disk space (for caching files being uploaded)

I meant that, based on the specs you quote, it might also be usable for the (as yet far away) 64-bit version of XYplorer. :)

I would assume that it should still work with the 32-bit version of XY on a 64-bit system.

I use a similar software which works well. Since it simulates a whole hardware drive, this drive will work in 32-bit XY as well.

Only limitation: This other software adds a page to the properties dialogue of files, as well as some context menu entries, and of course both of those will not be accessible from XY. But you don't need these too often, so I can live with it.

Something similar should apply for Netdrive (which I myself haven't tried).
