Thumbnail Wishes

I see you have implemented create all thumbnails on another user's request. Thanks for that.

But I'm having some problems.

1) I have many pictures in a folder and some more in sub-folders. Now even though it has created thumbnails, on browsing some sub-folder and coming back to original folder, it again starts building thumbnails. I have selected to cache thumbnails. Is it actually loading the database?

2) While it's busy to create thumbnails for main folder entering the sub folder doesn't create any thumbnail for this folder unless I refresh the list.

1) I think this has been fixed in the meantime, right? At least I cannot repro any problem.

Now only thing could be the captionless thumnail mode..

One question what's the tweak "max area of thumbed images" for? i searched but didn't get it in changelog or wiki. if i change maxArea to anything except 0 then thumbnails show "Too large" or don't generate thumbnail.


BTW the 4 one from the first post also seems to be fixed.

captionless thumnail mode: I also plan on adding higher captions so there will be an option "0/1/2/3 rows of thumbnails caption", where 0 is obviously "no caption". But lo prio -- bump me after 9.10 or so... There also will be a "Tiles" view...

"max area of thumbed images" = width * height of original image in pixels

Would like to add
1) Option to create thumbnails in subfolders too(child for Create all thumbnails at once).
2) A command to generate all thumbnails manually( without the Create all thumbnails at once.)
