:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Problem with new folder rename

Post by Patrice »

I have a problem with XYplorer and Donald can't reproduce it.

When I am in a folder, and when this folder is expanded
in the tree, if I create a new folder and if I change
the default new folder name to another name, the folder
is displayed without a name in the tree. I have to refresh
the tree to see it with the good name.

Has anyone the same problem as me?

Yes.

Creating the folder in the list pane (Ctrl+N) displays "New Folder" in the list and the tree. Changing the folder name then displays the changed folder name in the list pane, but the tree has a folder with no name.

You must have a special "anti-bug" version!

I can't think of any configuration that might effect it, but would it help to e-mail you my configuration file?

Nice colors you have there! Why waste money on LSD?! :D

OK, that did it! I found the bug: it was related to column width auto-adjustment which reset the edit label before the tree was updated. Fixed!

Glad that helped - interesting combination to cause the bug.

The color filter could get a bit more of an attention, Sir. Why not go all the way?!
