Highlight Whole Row Please, During Selection

Hello,

I'd love it if when I select a file that the whole hoizontal row would highlight in blue, rather than just the filename highlighting in blue.

Because so often I click on a filename that came back in a search, and I want to just quickly scroll over to the right to see it's path, but when I scroll over to the right I get lost in all the paths...and if the whole row turned blue highlighted, then I'd always clearly see what path goes with the file I have selected.

Also, very importantly, I'd love to be able to click on the path and have the whole row highlight...because sometimes I'm way over in the paths area and I want to click on a path to select/highlight it, but I have to scroll way back over to the filename in order to do the selecting/highlighting.

Check "View | Style List | Full row select". That should do what you want. It may only be an XY feature, but I don't think so.

No, I think "View | Style List | Highlight Focused Row" is more what frew wants. And the color can be configured in Configuration/Colors/Focused Row.

Uh, what do you mean by "only be an XY feature"?

That, I thought, required "View | Style List | Full row select" rather than "View | Style List | Highlight Focused Row".

This topic made me aware of a feature that I had not yet realized was available...and which I'll now use...sometimes there are certain config options that new users (like me) don't play with because they don't click mentally as to what they do and thus one misses out on those helpful features....anyway, thanks for the push!

Yes, Full Row Select does exactly what I want...really helps the workflow. Thank you very much.

That's why it helps sometimes with software to have little popup ballon things that tell what a menu item does when we hover over the item for a little while. Might be nice to have XYplorer by default start with these, but be able to turn them off in config setting.
