What did I miss in GUI updates? New vers hard to see!

Ok, because in last month, I've been quite busy with my semi-annual move to other home and getting summer cottages ready so I've been quite behind in updates to my XY...and I now decided to try out most current 9.11.12 as compared to my ole 9.00.10 and was quite suprised...actually more like .

The IP tab headers and such are very hard to see and all blend together in new vers...I'm using the same INI as a basis.

There may be another thread that is more specific to this topic but wasn't sure which was best to use so created this.

Old vers 9.00.10 which I can see clearly and easily:

New vers 9.11.12 which looks like a gray blob (sorry! ):

I'm using style "XY Classic", BTW...

The looks of the IP tabs were never controlled by Classic versus Themes visual style. I think they look better now than the old Win95 style. But de gustibus...

Ok, you may think they look better but I'm finding it quite hard to see clearly as the tabs all look like one area and blend into status bar as well...the sharp lines that divided these before make it easy to see where my tabs/bar is and where to click...so is there some vers in between these two that I can still get and stay with for now that still has the old style coloring/GUI? Cause I'm afraid I can't deal with this lack of clarity/separation...and remember that my eyes aren't as good as they once were...esp with my vison issues in one eye.

Addendum: The problem may be a bit worse because I use a laptop and look at it sometimes more from a top/off angle than straight on -- so some light color/shading differences become less visible but that's my only choice in how I view the screen...we had a similar issue some time ago that affected toolbar icons that weren't as clear but was resolved by some minor tweaking of shading.

Sorry, I had forgotten about the TabIPVisualStyle tweak. But now I changed my mind anyway, removed the tweak, and linked the IP tab style to the main tab style. So from now on is IP tab style IS controlled by Classic versus Themes visual style.

Correction: Simply set TabIPVisualStyle = 1

See next change log for what I changed.

Sorry, I had forgotten about the TabIPVisualStyle tweak.

That's ok...And since it wasn't identified as "; Tweak" or such, I'd not found it...but I now that you told me, I set it to 1 on my 9.11.12 and I can see tabs again!!! Yippee!

It wasn't that the new style looked bad...just that I found it hard to see which isn't always the same thing.
