I'd suggest just changing the orange to dark red for tray...like the ZA one.

I just downloaded the latest Beta (v4.50.0025) and checked the "4-bit icon" option. Works great now, a spiffy and very legible reddish-orange background. Thanks!

OK, plan C works. Fine!

Did you also try it unchecked one more time? That's plan B. Still fails?

Yeah, sorry, Plan B fails. Actually I inadvertently first tried the new Beta without checking the 4-bit option option because I hadn't bothered to read your notes carefully, which indicated that this was an option and not the default. The result was the same as before: a washed-out, virtually illegible yellow icon. The nice reddish-orange icon only appeared when I went back and checked the 4-bit option.

Ok, good. So I can take out the 24-bit icon and make the app about 900 bytes smaller. :)
