If I set windows icon properties to 32, yes, the big icon is displayed in the Info panel
Setting it back to 48 (my prefered setting) the Info panel shows only the small icon
Okay, so we have the problem isolated.

Just tested 48 setting in XP and it works well in XY. Huge icons are shown as they should. I checked the code and did not find anything related to icon display between 20100202 and 20100210. :|

Can anybody reproduce the problem?

I can reproduce it on Windows 7 x64 RTM running on VIrtualBox 3.1.6. The only thing that seems different from the screen shots of the OP is that selecting an item that doesn't show an icon, then does show the icon (but only for the selected item) in the item list albeit the small one instead of the expected large one.

With "small one" you mean 16x16 or 32x32?

I'm afraid 9.00.0019 looks the same as 9.00.0018... :|

Edited for spelling.

Oh. What if you select more than one file?

Confirmed, latest beta didn't fix the issue
And now system and hidden files/folders show in blue instead of lighter

You're right; I hadn't noticed that. BTW, on my PC it only takes the hidden attribute to change the colour of the folder icon; the system attribute is denoted by the folder name being shown in red.

9.00.0020 seems to have fixed it. I'm not entirely sure about the icon display in the Info Panel.

Edited to add: Also, hidden folders have their icon back.
