How do I hide the tab bar?

This is probably a stupid question, but I don't know how to hide the tab bar. I have the option 'maximum tabs' set to 1 to make sure there is only 1 tab. But, I really would like it to be hidden/gone.

Is there an option I have missed?

Menu bar: Window > Show Tabs.

(There are several questions I posted here and elsewhere I'd rather not be reminded of...

)

I was looking in the 'View' menu and the Configuration.

I've been on both sides of this...and I've had my share of stupid questions (and stupid answers also on occasion!)...but the most stupid question (to me) is one that isn't asked and causes a user to give up on XY.
