Would you please explain exactly what created modified and accessed means?
I know this must be very simple, but somehow I don't quite get what they mean exactly.
I just copied a bunch of files from CD to my hard drive and they all say created 1-23-06...of course the files were not created 1-23-05 really....I mean I made the files a while back. I created them months ago...so created must refer to the copies copied to my hard drive from CD were created !-23-06. (Very sad because now when I try to sort by date they all say 1-23-06, not the dates I really created them. So now sort by date created does not help me in any way at all.)
Modified? I opened a file and modified it and saved a new version of it, yet the modified date remains the old date not the newly modified date. I just modified it so I thought modified would say 1-23-06, but instead modified still says year 04, 05, 03 etc...so what is modified referring to if it's not referring to the modifications I just made to the file?
Accessed I think means when the file was last opened, right?
