Folder Tree Not Always Refreshed

I'm using XYplorer 4.40.0058 on Windows XP.

I have the Auto-refresh on file system changes option enabled. However, when I extract an archive using WinRAR, and the extraction results in a new folder being created, the new folder is never shown in the folder tree until I hit either F4 or F5.

I apologize if this is a known issue, or if there is some other reason I should have remained silent.

No need for apologies! Indeed sometimes the auto-refresh fails to recognize a situation fully. I can only process the informations provided by the OS respectively by the source of the changes. And for performance reasons I don't do a catch-all total refresh (F4+F5) on each change, but try to refresh as little as possible and as much as necessary.

I tried it with WinRAR and it works great and always.

Sorry, it doesn't work for me, ever. I suppose I'll have to create a video to prove it...

Never? Cause for me it works but only if the folder created is inside the current one.
ie. I'm in D:\Apps and extract into D:\Apps\Testing the tree will be updated, but if I extract into D:\Testing it won't.

I guess that's what I'm experiencing here too. If I:

1. Select C:\ in XYplorer
2. Extract an archive containing the relative folder "test" to C:\Temp

The folder C:\Temp\test is created, but isn't automatically shown in the folder tree.

If I:

1. Select C:\Temp in XYplorer
2. Extract an archive containing the relative folder "test" to C:\Temp

The folder C:\Temp\test is created, and is automatically shown in the folder tree.

When I do the same with PowerDesk Pro, C:\Temp\test is shown automatically, in each case.

How do you extract? By drag'n'drop or by entering the location into a field? The first should work always. The second should work a little better in the coming version.

Whether I extract by drag-and-drop or by using the WinRAR extract dialog in full interface mode, the result is the same.
