Show icon overlays for Mozy backed-up files

I will look at this again in a later version.

Do you require any further assistance with this issue? It would be nice to have the two overlay issues fixed, since a lot of new apps (especially Web 2.0 synchronization/storage apps) do a lot of interaction with the user through updates to overlays on local files.

It's on my list, but building my Win7 machine has to come first.

I've enabled the option called 'Show icon overlays' and notice that this works fine for files backed up to Dropbox (green ticks are displayed on file icons).

Funnily enough I've been muttering quietly to myself about the lack of Dropbox overlays for a while. Today, I stumbled across your post, thought to myself 'Show icon overlays... where's that then?', had a look through the config, found it, and BAM! There they are.

Exactly the same happend to me :-)

Checking again through the files on my local filesystem which are synchronised with Dropbox (and which also have overlays), I notice that for most of them the overlays work OK in XYplorer, but for a group of them, in particular shortcuts to web URLs (ie. ending in .url), the overlays don't display in XYplorer. Opening up a Windows Explorer window to the same location shows all of the overlays.

I guess this means:

(a) there must be more than one way that overlays can be associated with files
(b) there is at least one way that XYplorer doesn't recognize

I have exactly the same behaviour, also win7 64bit.

I think the reason is that there are two overlays playing a role here: The one marking links, and the other marking Dropbox status. In Explorer somehow the Dropbox overlay has higher priority than the Link overlay, and in XY it seems to be the other way round.

Icon updating works perfectly here, though.

win7 64bit plays a role as well, since it works fine here with xp. I'll surely fix this fast once I have win7 64bit here.

Don, I'm thrilled that you're finally running Windows 7.

I don't recall seeing any post saying that he's switched yet...I think that is still in very near future...but I could be mistaken.
