Strange startup behaviour

Post by rhoelzl »

Hi,

1. I am not sure if this is a config problem of mine, or a bug:

Since the newest beta (I think) when I launch XY with a startup path, it will always open a new instance. "Allow multiple instances" is OFF.

2. While we are at the topic of startup behaviour: I would like XY to always open a startup path in a new tab.

But when XY is NOT YET running and is started with a startup path, this path should be THE ONLY tab that is displayed. So far it will always open the default tab (=Desktop) AND the startup path tab; and the default tab is usually useless for me, so it is a waste of space.

Again I am not sure if it is possible to config XY that way, but if it is then it is non-obvious.

Thanks!

The current version v8.80.0038 has a fresh bug here. Please wait for the next beta.

Just installed the newest beta:

The bug no. 1 is fixed now. Thanks!

What about no. 2? Is there a config setting to achieve this?

Did you try "don't save tabs" on config / startup & exit?

Yes, it is enabled.

I think the problem is rather that if I provide a startup path it will NOT override the default tab path, but open a second tab instead.

Well... A minor wish IMO, and quite a matter of personal taste. Not something that would keep me from adding keywords...
