PDA access? Address Bar & Split Panes

Post by tasi »

I'd really love to be able to access my PDA.

Regular explorer has the "My Device" folder for access to activesync devices, would it be possible to add this to XYplorer?

Also, as stated before, I know about the "Go To" menu, but would love the option to see an address bar.

And having two panes (split instead of tabbed) would make things so much easier.

If the address bar and split panes gets installed I'm ready to donate/buy a full license. I've been looking for the perfect explorer replacement, and this one is getting close.

Thanks.

Of your wishes, this is the one to be fulfilled now.

Here's a question to all address bar lovers: does anyone need a button there?? That "Go" thing, usually with a green arrow...? I never used it in my life... just hit <return>.

But if you select the entry with a mouse from the drop down menu it always appears to be counter productive to then move to the keyboard and press enter, I would think mouse users would want the "Go" button. What is really important to me is that the address bar is an option, I don't want it there because I will always use Ctrl+G or Ctrl+E.

As a new user, I'll throw in my $.02 also.
Having an option one can select by mouse, but then having to activate it via keyboard is definitely a downside. You have to leave the mouse/touchpad and then move to keyboard, and then back again.
So having a "GO" button for mouse makes sense to me, as one who tries to avoid switching back and forth.

Yes, but I plan to do it like IE: selecting with mouse will already trigger the jump. You'll need <enter> only when you enter the path by keyboard or when you paste it via the address field's context menu.
