Option to turn off thumbnail borders?

Post by TsunamiZ »

How about add an option to turn off thumbnail borders? This will allow for a more true depiction of the image for those of us who prefer it.

would this option be hard to implement? i prefer to see the images accurately without any artificial borders.

i notice the borders add an extra 8 pixels between the thumbnails. +4 pixels space between the borders for a total of 12 pixels between the actual thumbnails' images. when multiplied through a lot of thumbnails, that's a lot of wasted screen space to some of us. so being able to turn off thumbnail borders can save a lot of screen space and allow us to fit in more thumbnails.

like in this example from xnview. the thumbnails can be adjusted to be only 2 pixels apart which allows us to fit in more on the screen...
