Thanx for pitching in! Your reply came just in time, as I was lready writng a new topic in the Wishes forum :)

Let me suffice with a suggestion in this thread, how a possible solution could work:

Maybe it's an idea to check the timestamp of ini and various data files when closing XYplorer, but before saving its actual state. If anything has changed since XYplorer was invoked (or last saved its state), a warning could be displayed, allowing the user to either discard or save the changes. An additional third option would be even cooler, but definitely more difficult to implement, being the possibility to merge the two states.

Just my two cents.

Better forget about merging the two states. :P

But I like the idea of the timestamp. Currently no time to think about it though. Please bump me later.
