Post by carmenm »

I remember seeing a post in this forum about notepad++ and other alternatives.
So i thought i might have a go.

I recently discovered Sublime Text and i must i completely fell in love.
There are still a few things i miss in it but the core is so powerful that you just dream of what s gonna come tomorrow!
I am almost ready to buy it!

You should all try it.

By the way does anyone have a syntax highliting for XY scripts in TextMate? (same files for Sublime Text)

Have you used my other favorite site: http://alternativeto.net

For example:
http://alternativeto.net/desktop/notepad-plus-plus/
http://alternativeto.net/desktop/sublime-text/

It's a great place to locate other choices for a given app...it's run by a couple of guys from Sweden, and since my family heritage is same, I'm a bit biased but it's gotten a lot of good press...I was able to get it mentioned on TWIT.tv by Leo Laporte, just as I did for XY earlier.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.
