Restoring a CTB button to factory defaults is a laborious and time consuming multi-step process. First it has to be moved to "Current Buttons" if not already there. Then name, icon, On click and On right-click have to be individually selected and cleared. Finally it has to be put back into "Available Buttons".
Why not eliminate this rigmarole and add a command/method/option somewhere to simply Restore Button to Default?

rigmarole!
Thanks for a new word.
A Clear or Reset button somwhere in the Edit dialog? Not sure. I mean how often do you need to do this? Me never yet.

Re: Restoring CTB to default
A button like that would work, I think...how often? Well, I've only barely used CTB's but already had need to reset one as used CTB#2 to try out something new and then found it wasn't as good as I'd wanted so had no need for it anymore so wanted to reset back just as part of cleanup.admin wrote:A Clear or Reset button somwhere in the Edit dialog? Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: Restoring CTB to default
On the day post was written that "laborious procedure" had to be executed three times. Reason: as knowledge of scripting is increasing button functions were rolled into right-click of those already on TB to - among other things - save space and the three "retried" back to Available.
While auguring for this as a useful addition, in fairness to "He Who Codes" at some point when tinkering with CTB plateaus out it may not seem as relevant.

Re: Restoring CTB to default
At some point the CTB will reach an equilibrium condition and further adjustment and refinement will be rare. Therefore the need for a reset mechanism may be superfluous and not worth the time to write the code.
That may be happening already. Since the original post (written with some petulance) when there was a major reorganization of the TB no button has been touched.
