Word-wrap in comments not working?

XYplorer 8.40.0100, Vista 64-bit

When I right-click on a comment field in the list and choose "Edit comment", a dialog box appears with a multi-line field into which I write my comment for the current file. At the bottom of this box is a checkbox labelled "Word wrap". This feature does not appear to be documented. I would assume that checking this box allows the full text of a long comment to be displayed in multiple lines within the list display. But whatever its purpose may be, I find that checking this box has no visible effect. And I notice that when I return for a re-edit, any check mark I've previously put into the box has cleared itself.

Can anyone explain how this feature is supposed to work, and whether its apparent failure to produce any effect is a bug in the program?

This will be fixed in the next version.

The wrapping should work, and does over here.
