Mouseless copying/moving to another folder?
This may be a crazy idea:
select some files/folders using the keyboard
cut/copy them with the usual shortcut
highlight another folder in the same list
hit the "paste" shortcut and files get copied/moved to the selected folder whithout the need to open it

You can actually do that already using the Paste command from the shell context menu (open it via keyboad using the Context Menu button on your keyboard).
