Any interest on XY filetype classes for PFA?

Just an idea for PFA/POM,

instead of always writing *.jpg;*.png;*gif;...

maybe there could be an ini setting like
XYpics=.jpg.png.gif.
XYtxts=.txt.log.html.htm.ini.
XYexes=.cmd;.bat.com.exe.vbs
just like OfficePreviewCustomExtensions=

so we could just use:
XYpics>..\IrfanView\i_view32.exe
