runtime error 5

Post by winampman15 »

I don't know how to explain it properly, so I made a video of it :)
http://www.onii.net/error.wmv
only about 15 seconds, 2mb

It looks like a problem with foreign characters... the folder that you see in the video contains chinese characters. The runtime error 5 appears when I move the mouse cursor over the folder.

Howver this is not a big problem, when I rename the folder with English letters, then the error goes away. I just thought you should know about it :)

Yes, I think it is. I could not reproduce the error but tried to catch it anyway. You tell me wether it works... thanks.

EDIT: added wmv to the preview

Mhh, it doesn't do the job like it should. WMV is marked in Preview Formats but TrackerV3 says it's excluded. I tried to unmark and mark it again but it stays the same:

It plays fine in Windows Media Player though.
Software: should we be aware because it's soft ? I like to think not !

That's impossible.

Look for this key in the INI (after closing the program):
NoPrevAV=.wmv.

If wmv is there, it is excluded, else it is not.

The ini says : NoPrevAV=.
I just deleted the ini and let Tracker create a new one. Same thing. TrackerV3 says it's excluded

EDIT: even stranger. If I preview some other files first (witch are in the same folder) , like .reg, .txt, and after that i will preview a wmv movie, the preview of the reg or txt file stays visable. If i change from e.g. gif or xls then Tracker says it's excluded.

Oh shit! I forgot that I moved the "No video preview at all" checkbox to the Configuration/Preview tab. Uncheck it!

Reason for that checkbox: some formats like *.mpeg can contain Audio or Video data, and by checking this box you can skip all the mepg videos.

I will change the message to make this clearer.

EDIT: I just noted that the "No video preview at all" does not even function consistently... and I ask myself and you, if I should not simply drop this checkbox!?!? Who needs it anyway...??

Ahhh, that did it, thx.
Btw, strange thing is that mpg movies previewed with no problem, even with "No video preview at all" checked.

For me, you can drop the checkbox to the Configuration/Preview tab. The possibilities in the Preview Format tab will do fine.
Sorry for the misunderstanding
