Middle-Clicking
This is not a bug report but something I have a problem with:
v7.90.0413 - 2009-06-08 15:53
+ List: Now you can open a folder in a new tab by MiddleClicking it;
equivalent to Shift+DblClick.
NO, no, no, no, no !!!!!!!! How do I turn this OFF!
I have set my middle mouse button to double-left-click mode. The above over-rides this.
I went in the config to see for a setting to turn this off, but couldn't see one.

Re: Middle-Clicking
I have set my middle mouse button to double-left-click mode, too, and there are no problems! Pressing the middle-button sends a double-left-click. If it does aynthing else, your mouse is malfunctioning. What type, Logitech?

Re: Middle-Clicking
how does one set the middle button of the mouse to double-left-click mode in xyplorer? im using a logitech mouse, do it need a mouse software?
in folders - middle click - opens a new tab, which i like
, but in files/apps - middle click - nothing happens.
can this be set by default without any mouse software?

No, you need the mouse software. This is my MS wheel mouse configuration:stanmarsh wrote:can this be set by default without any mouse software?

Re: Middle-Clicking
I have set it up same as you. I have a Logitech LX-5 wireless mouse. (an MX-1000 without the extra buttons).admin wrote:I have set my middle mouse button to double-left-click mode, too, and there are no problems! Pressing the middle-button sends a double-left-click. Middle button click as double left click works perfectly everywhere else, just not in XY.
Everytime I use the middle mouse button on a folder in the listview, instead of opening that folder into the listview, it creates a new tab and I sit at the same place in that new tab??

Re: Middle-Clicking
Ok, I remove the feature. I was having so much trouble with Logitech mice in the recent years, I almost expected something like this...

The logitech-hardware isn't that bad, I using logitech-mice since years, and everything is perfect.John Bee wrote:Thank you, thank you!! (damn logitech)
What might be not so good is the logitech-software... But I'am happy without any additional driversoftware and everything is just perfect
Remapping the middle-mouse never came in my mind, middle button is so usefull: closing tabs and open in background-tabs (like in every modern browser and most tabbed applications, like: Opera/IE/FireFox/Safari/Chrome/Pidgin/...), closing taskbaritems (with TaskbarShuffle)
Operating System: Win10 x64 / Win11 x64 / almost allways newest XY-beta

Re: Middle-Clicking
I uploaded a little test app:
http://www.xyplorer.com/download/Click.zip
The dbl-click events should be this (no matter whether hand-made double click or middle-button mapped):

Re: Middle-Clicking
Using Logitech MX1000 with SetPoint 2.40.855
If MiddleButton is defined as Other/DoubleClick it shows the expected sequence.
If it's defined as Other/MiddleKey it shows Middle Button Down / Middle Button Up
Seems this is what should be expected?

Hmmmm. This is what I get when I hit the middle mouse button (which has been mapped as double-click). (I tried it multiple times to make sure).admin wrote:I uploaded a little test app:

Re: Middle-Clicking
- Removed because it does not work with LogiTech mice:
v7.90.0413 - 2009-06-08 15:53
List: Now you can open a folder in a new tab by MiddleClicking it;
equivalent to Shift+DblClick.
please dont remove this feature, i use a normal logitech mouse (not advanced with special buttons) and its working great without any software installed with opening a folder in new tab.
an option to disable this feature would sort out those with problems.
also, can this feature be extended with opening applications/files without the need of a mouse software?
