Hotkeys for favorites

Hi,
I use the freeware program DirKey to quickly navigate through folders in Windows explorer. I think Tracker is great but the only thing i realy miss is the use of hotkeys like Dirkey makes possible with explorer. A screenshot:


Is it possible to implement this in Tracker? So to set user definable hotkeys to the favorite folders like Dirkey does with Bookmarked folders? I know the tabs helps a lot for quick navigation using ctrl-tab but often i visit a lot of folders in a short time, in those cases it would be a great to have that possibility without having to many tabs open.

Another good addition would be to have an option to open a favorite or a history path in a new tab.

I also use Dirkey and as CyGho will know there are plug-ins to enable the Dirkey list to be accessed from a right click on the Windows close button of other programs. If this feature could be implemented to work with TrackerV3 then it would be excellent. I've no idea what the plug-in involves or who would have to write it.

I'm not so much into this hotkey thing. Simple reason: lack of keys. I would like to offer Alt+1... till Alt+0, but due to a VB bug, when you click those keys you get an annoying beep, and nothing can stop that.

Do you mean that you get annoying beep once or for some time? If only once, so I don't think it to be so bog problem to refuse using 10 additional hotkeys. After all ot could be optional.

Well if it beeps at least i know that i pressed ALT.

In my system it is not a beep, but rather a clatter. Depend on configuration.
However I wouldn't refuse using additional hotkeys only in order to avoid hearing this clatter. No problems.

I don't think it's a VB bug, I mean it seems to me that it does that because of the menu. If you had no menu there wouldn't be no beep, but since you have one if the key you press (while holding Alt) is not one of the menu shortcuts, then it beeps.
Maybe there's a way to "add a new shortcut", so when you press it it won't beep...

Yes, totally correct, it's the menu. Maybe it's not a bug, but I think the beep is an overreaction. Pressing non-existent Ctrl-shortcuts does not beep either.

"add a new shortcut"... no, I not that I knew of.

Ctrl+1... is used to select info panel tabs (that was wished months ago, but I would not mind to redefine those keys... )

Yeah but Ctrl means "nothing", while Alt is used by the menu (&File -> Alt+F, etc)

personally ive always been a fan of keyboard shortcuts... not only for favorites, but also to configuration would be a great feature.
