I assume you just can't do the following things unless you are part of the OS, but just in case something has slipped between the cracks, I thought I should mention that:
- If you drag a program from Windows Explorer to Start Menu, there is a "Create shortcut here" choice. If you drag the program from TrackerV3 to Start Menu that choice is missing, you can only put a full copy there.
- If Windows Explorer,
C:\Documents and Settings\[name of user]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
shows all the files, allowing the user to actually directly access Internet files that have been downloaded by the browser (There is a huge public myth that these files are "on the Web" and thus the private property of the web site, when in fact, in order for anyone to view them, they have to allow them to be downloaded to this folder.)
In TrackerV3, this folder only shows a "Content.IE5" folder, which in turn has many separate folders that have the various downloaded web site files.
(I think there were one or two others, but I forget what they were - I'll add them if I remember them later!)
Various missing system support

I have no problem seeing them in TrackerV3 - in fact I can't see them in Windows Explorer, but since I've never used Windows Explorer I probably don't have the view system / hidden option on (I haven't bothered to check).The_Dude wrote:... Windows Explorer,

Yes, and it's a mystery to me. For unknown reasons, I can't manage to drag from TV3 with Create shortcut option.The_Dude wrote:- If you drag a program from Windows Explorer to Start Menu, there is a "Create shortcut here" choice. Workaround: first "create shortcut here", then drag that shortcut to Start Menu holding Shift (which will force a move operation).
Yes. And what's the problem?The_Dude wrote:... In TrackerV3, this folder only shows a "Content.IE5" folder, which in turn has many separate folders that have the various downloaded web site files.
There are some places where TV3 has a lower abstraction level than Explorer, i.e. TV3 shows you what's there (in terms of files) instead of showing you an interpretation of what's there. Temporary Internet Files is one example, another is Recycle Bin.
