.dat Files Linked to Config Files

Would be suprised if this has not been requested before

Reason I ask is that I work with multiple screen sizes (both at work and home) so FVS settings for one config file are neccesarily different to another config file.

e.g. at home I work on a laptop with a specific set of FVS, but if I am doing any image work I tend to attach my 22" monitor which needs a seperate set of FVS to make full use of the increased resolution.

It would also be extremely useful for the catalog.dat especially working on different sites where the list of files stored in catalog would be different.

As an aside if anybody is interested in Window placement and size at different resolutions they should check out Winsize2 - the author recently added this functionality for me which is incredibly useful (basically creates different .ini files for screen resolution and detects the resolution at program startup and uses the relevant ini file for proper placement of all your windows).

You can have any number of parallel installations (application paths), and you can have any number of parallel application data folders (using the /ini command line switch at startup) for each installation. Doesn't this fit your situation?

Can I just double check...

There is no way to specify the app data path in the individual config .ini files ?

I can maintain a common Thumbnails Folder (am running off USB so space is a premium and I already have 250+mb of thumbnails) ?

Don,

Ignore my questions above - have worked out that is is obviously possible to use shared Thumbnails

And the config question was just me being lazy as I autostart XY on USB plugin and then change the config as neccessary, but I have removed the autostart entry and will just start from the relevant shortcut.
