quick find search window (like vista / 7 explorer has)

i would like a quick search feature similar to how web browsers / newer windows explorer have (next to the address bar), could this be possible to add as a menu item?

Do you mean the search should happen on the fly, without you pressing the enter key? or do you simply want a text window to type your search?
If its the latter, then you can use the address bar or goto (ctrl+G).
Start with ? and then type your search term.

I would love to see the incremental search (find-as-you-type) capability like firefox has...

well either on the fly or type + enter / global find / last search folder (on in the info panel) / current dir ..etc, really i cant put any option down, i think have a dedicated setting page for find options, lets face it XYPlorer has one of the best find features of any program and i think it should be improved even more, i use the find option more than anything. so anything to make it quicker would be nice.
my computer has drives E: | F: | G:| I: | C: | D: | H: | Z: (4 tb) so you can see why i use search alot

also i still wish there was a way to clear search history / paths ..etc, it also really can fill up the ini file with entry's, maybe its time to switch it over to a dedicated file.

tabbing with search results is a problem too since it has to re-search everything you click on / off it (although its faster then the first search).

You know that "search results caching" is on the "roadmap", right? I presume that would address this issue.
