Sort Folders Apart

Just wanted to check if the sort folders apart behaviour has changed at any point as I have recently noticed that the folder sort order seems to be based on the selected sort column.

It may just be me but I'm sure folders always used to be sorted by name - independant of the sort column - which is my preferred behaviour (I believe most other file managers do this as well ?)

Also is there any chance that if 2 sort columns are selected that this can be saved when defining the Default Column Layout.

Just thought I would mention that I am loving the new Tags (especially the options available for display - I use the icons). And the fact that Custom colors are displayed in the menu is extremely impressive (have not seen Tags this well implemented in any other file manager )

No, sort folders apart behaviour has not changed recently.

I think you can save 2ndary sort columns in FVS. Did you try?

You are quite right, 2ndary sort order is retained using FVS

Is it possible to have different sort criteria for folders if i ask nicely (although you are obviously busy with tags at the mo).

Looking forward to this mystery development (assume it is tag related?)

Would it be possible to add "Sort Folders apart" to the settings which are saved as FolderViewSettings?

It's nothing important, so if it is too tricky to implement or there is no second fool... I just wanted to ask ;-)
