Thumbnail Creation no longer prevents actions in file list

If I have a few hundred photos in a folder, it can take quite some time to generate the thumbnails. I would often like to click and hold to view the full size image on those that have completed making thumbnails, or double click the item to open it, or right-click it for some action, but it's not possible without canceling the thumbnail creation or waiting for the thumbnail creation to be completed. Then if you stop the thumbnail creation it starts over from the beginning instead of saving a partial cache...

If you use thumbs caching it actually should save a partial cache (and ask you before doing so) when you abort the process. Last time I tried this worked...

Ah, I thought I had the cache turned on; I was wrong.

In any event, I'd still like to be able to, at the very least, double-click and right-click the files while the other thumbnails are being created...

This was possible before but has been stopped because of problems.

Well, a bit: In the next version you can dbl-click-open a file while thumbs are being processed.
