Different association when dropping vs when double-clicking?

Ok, this is a weird one...

I'm currently using IZARC as my default archive manager. It works great for me EXCEPT that dragging a file and dropping it on an existing archive doesn't add the file to the archive (which is the desired behavior). This happens whether in Win Explorer or XY.

I'd love to be able to have this functionality, but since IZARC doesn't support it, I either need to change my default archive manager or figure out some way to get it to work with dropping a file on an archive.

I have several other archive managers that will support the drag and drop-onto-archive method -- is there any way to have XY use a different one than the default when dropping a file on an archive?

Maybe a new scripting event "onDrop" that gives the option to process something differently depending if the drop target is an archive...

Any other thoughts?

That would be a nice use case for the up-coming "custom events" (or whatever they will be called). And/or there might be a PFA-like way for this, like the "portable-drop-on-associations" where you can define what happens using new variables <droptarget> and <dropitems>.
