Renaming files during User commands "copy to"

Post by kartal »

Hi
Is it possible to rename files when using user commands-copy to section? What I want is renaming or adding suffixes to files when I use copy to under user commands. For example I want to rename files to their modif dates.

edit: I just realized this is in the wrong forum :)
thanks

how about versioning the file , would that be possible? So instead of writing over the file at the location, XYP would create an indexed copy?

For the record, you can't do any of that using scripting command copyto or UDC|Copy To, but using other ways you can, e.g. using scripts or some the commands found on menu File when it stays in the current folder (Copy Here with Suffix Number/Date)... (or using a right drag&drop, though that's a different kind of action, obviously)
