[I don't know if my last thread got deleted or i didn't hit the Submit-Button correctly, so here it is again]
I want to set a default start location for a new tab. At the moment a new tab opens at the location of the previously active tab which is disturbing.
How can i change that?

Not possible currently. BTW, you are the first who says he's disturbed by the current behavior. I find it quite natural.

Re: Default Start Location for new Tab
Talking about natural, i am opening a new tab to go to a new location and often the previous tab is in a sub-sub-sub-sub...-folder and navigating to another subfolder is a mess. Starting from the top is much easier for me.
Also it is easier to distinguish between "old" and "new" tabs.

First, kawds, let me say: Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Actually, come to think of it, I agree with kawds! It's been on my mind for months but never bothered to mention it before as it was quite minor. Maybe it's cause I also have my browser set to "about:blank" for home? There are times when I open a new tab and don't immediately spot it, even though it's highlighted...I'd probably set mine to C:\ or MyDoc's or something like that, if avail.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: Default Start Location for new Tab
Added it as a tweak for now. Not sure how important this feature is...admin wrote:Okay, I see.... can be done.j_c_hallgren wrote:admin wrote:BTW, you are the first who says he's disturbed by the current behavior.
