copyto mystery (newbie mystery!!)

Post by calude »

Hi
the goal is to copy the files from the SD card to a dated directory, here is the script and I must be doing something stupidly wrong because xy keeps telling me :

Command 'copyto' failed or was cancelled.
copyto
E:\G9\<dyyyymmdd>
G:\DCIM\100CANON

here is the original script that I fire from a UDC
copyto "E:\G9\<dyyyymmdd>","G:\DCIM\100CANON";

thanks

<dyyyymmdd> is not valid anymore. (where did you find this wrong info?)

Try this: <date yyyymmdd>

Remember that the wiki, while linked to from the "official" site, is a user maintained site, so it's up to all of us users to make sure that it's accurate and make changes as needed! Jacky does a exceptional job, but he can't do it all...so if you've not yet registered there, please do, and then help out when you see something that may be incorrect, ok? Thanks!

Sure
but I'm still a very young newbie at all that so, I really do prefer not touching something I don't understand fully yet.

That's fine and perfectly understandable and also commendable, but as long as you realize that the wiki is as best as we can make it, we're ok. The info there is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate/current all the time given the frequency of updates, so should you find a discrepancy, if you want to post here first, that would help also.

There is no doubt that the wiki is really filled with loads of info and has helped me answer most of my doubts.

Great job guys those who are working hard and updating the wiki.
