Some bitter words

Post by ivan »

I frequently visit Betanews.com and their sister site Fileforum.com has posted the latest version of XYplorer. From 244 votes, the rating is a disappointing 3.6 and here are some not-so-pleasant phrases from people:
Installed, tested and verified that the feature which intercepts run dialog commands still does not exist. Without this feature, I am unable to use this as most of my work is done by entering commands directly into the Vista Search box or the run dialog. If a program cannot pick up on the shellexec commands given by the run dialog, it is not for me as I simply find having to launch the filemanager first an unneeded extra step in the file management process. Often times, I know exactly where the files I need to work with are and as such just go directly to that path.

The hack given by the author is also not a positive solution in my book as it often times misses several calls. The author realizes this is a needed feature, otherwise, he would not have provided such a hack.

1/5 as this is useless to me in its current state.
XYplorer will always rely heavily on kludgery to accomplish what it does, and will never be able to do all that it should. You fanboys can keep it!
Utter, overpriced, disappointing rubbish.

Ok...what is it with this language thing? This forum is 99% English with an occasional touch of German...so can you please post as such? Thanks!
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I must say that this is neither my evil twin neither does it have anything to do with me. This person's Russian is incomprehensible, which shows him using an online translating tool such as Google.

Hi,
Its ofcourse nice that people around the world like to interact on XYplorer. But you seem to understand english and thats why responded to the above post. But unfortunately not many of us understand what you are trying to tell. So please post in english. If your posts are directed only towards Ivan then please send a personal message (pm). If its absolutely necessary to post in Russian (for whatever reasons) then please also provide its translation so that we non-Russians can understand it.

I know this place. It should be obvious that these folks are idiots. I don't have to care about them.
