ColorFilters 2.0 - Backcolor
The new color filter functionality adds just that much more to an already nice feature...thanks!
Is there any way in Configuration|Color Filters we can get a way to reset the back color to default/none? I know it can be done via List Management, but it seems like it should also be possible via the configuration screen.

Wow! I love it.
Thank you, Don.
If you keep on adding so much great features, I will run out of ideas for my signature (Pagat can tell you a thing or two about it).

Yep, no way to set back color to default. I too had to use list management>color filters to remove back color manually.JustinF wrote:The new color filter functionality adds just that much more to an already nice feature...thanks!

I'm no expert concerning smileys (and so many other things), like Don, I just like the icon.

Re: ColorFilters 2.0 - Backcolor
Yeah, really cool feature. But now I have to add some more wishes for it
For instance, when a color filter doesn't set either one (text/back) color, it's be nice if XY would continue to look for another match. Either any match and only set the remaining color, or (better?) only filters that set the other color. That way, I could say have *.exe in red while at the same time xyplorer* have a background in green, thus xyplorer.exe be in red on green background (without having to specify one filter for each possible combination...)
Also, as was mentioned in the past I'd like to have filters based on other criteria (size, modified, etc) and also only affect the related column. So now, xyplorer.exe could be red on green background, and its size column can get a different text and/or back color based on its size, same for modified, etc

Hmm, I see what you mean, but I like to keep this one as simple as it is. I enjoy it's simplicity and don't want to spoil it by adding complexity.jacky wrote:Yeah, really cool feature. But now I have to add some more wishes for it

What about the first part, to keep looking for another match when only one color was set ? That would prevent me from having to come up with about a dozen filters to cover all different possibilities, and I don't think it adds any complexity at all, does it?

I meant the first part! I think it does add complexity for many users.jacky wrote:admin wrote:Hmm, I see what you mean, but I like to keep this one as simple as it is. Other patterns like size and date will come later, aka ColorFilters 3.0 ...
