in Vista 32 I installed and registered under an Administrator user account. XYplorer then runs OK. However if I right-click and "Run As Admin" then the trial version dialog comes up. Similarly logging is as a different user on the same PC and running the app brings up the trial dialog.
I assume I can simply register these separate instances as they are all on the same PC. However I'm sure I checked the installer 'All Users' option, so I would have expected the registration to apply to all accounts on the computer.

Sounds like you have the "Windows User Control" (UAC) (in German "Benutzerkontensteuerung") activated.
If you are running XY without administrative-priviliges and the configuration is saved in "C:\Program Files\XYplorer..." Windows redirects this to another special folder, because non-admins don't have the permission to write into "C:\Program Files\".
When you now running with administrative priviliges, windows don't make this redirections, and XY does not find the configuration-files and also not the registration-data.
I noticed this also before, but I din't care about it.
possible solutions are:
* disable UAC (not the best)
* run XY allways/never with admin-priviliges (set your configuration once for one of these modes)
* give full rights to your installation-folder for non-admins (so windows won't redirect the configuration-data)
maybe there are more, but this also should help you.
Your current configuration-data should be find here:
C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\XYplorer\

The best would be if config-files are directly stored in windows-profile (or the other appropriate directories for these files)
But I think they are stored in application-dir because of XY is a portable-application.
All I wounder about is why your config is stored in virtual-store even if UAC is disabled.
