When I move files into a folder the files do not show up unless I press F5.
How to have them show right away?

Do you have View > Auto-refresh enabled? Or perhaps you have "Suspend auto-refresh" enabled.

Or Configuration > General > Refresh, Icons, History > Auto-Refresh > Refresh during file operations.

View > Auto-refresh now has a check mark on it after I clicked on it.

Configuration (F9) > General > Refresh, Icons, History > Auto-Refresh was unchecked. Now checked.
"Refresh during file operations" was also uncheck. Now checked.

Now updating as I copy files to a folder.

Thanks.

Happy to help.
But I'm curious ... you've been on the forum since 2012. Were those settings never enabled? Or did you disable them accidentally? They can't just turn off by themself.

I have this setting enabled for years, but most of the time the content doesn't update unless I use F5. Same with Default folder view. Though it's enabled, LOTS of folders are not in the default folder view settings.
